Perry began his career in real estate working as a Development Controller for a large shopping centre developer in Vancouver. In this role, he analyzed development opportunities and monitored the construction of millions of square feet of retail spaces, from which he gained valuable experience about the economics of owning and managing commercial real estate.
He moved to Kelowna in 1991 and remained active in the real estate industry working for a large Okanagan based developer as their Controller. He founded a commercial real estate brokerage firm in 1994 that represented Colliers International and quickly grew to become the largest full-service commercial brokerage firm in the interior of British Columbia, with over 35 employees.
As owner-manager he trained and supervised a brokerage team that concluded billions of dollars of commercial real estate transactions, and managed a Property Management and Strata Property Management team that managed a large portfolio of commercial real estate stratified commercial and residential properties. After selling his business to Colliers International in 2014, he assumed the role of Vice President Investment in their brokerage department, becoming one of their top performers.
Perry founded Okanagan Commercial Realty Corp. with the intention of providing hands-on personalized service in a timely manner, with a focus on adding value in every transaction or engagement. His strong financial skills, commitment, and attention to detail have made him a trusted advisor to many small and large clients.
